Privacy

The Proof Book is a trade name of The Chalk and Ledger Group LLC, Ohio. These notes say what this website collects, and they are written in plain English.

What we collect

The site is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. If you ask for the Family Update Kit or buy a product, checkout and delivery happen on Payhip, our checkout partner, which collects your email address (and payment details for paid files) under its own privacy notice. If you write to us at [email protected], we receive your email address and your message, and we use them only to reply.

Ads and cookies

This site and our Payhip checkout use the Meta Pixel, a small piece of code from Meta, along with cookies to measure how well our Facebook and Instagram ads work, such as which pages people visit after seeing an ad. Meta may use this information under its own privacy policy. You can change how Meta uses it for ads at Meta ad preferences, and you can also block or clear cookies in your browser settings.

What we do not collect

We do not ask for bank statements, account numbers, Social Security numbers, dates of birth, or medical details. The Family Update is a Google Sheet you copy into your own Google account, and a CSV you paste there stays in that file and is not uploaded to us. Please don't email us statements or account details. If you do by mistake, let us know and we will delete our copy.

How we use it

We use the email to send the free kit you asked for, to tell you when checkout opens if you asked us to, or to answer the note you sent. We do not sell personal information. We do not run third-party advertising trackers on this site, and this version does not use a separate analytics product.

Payments

When you buy a paid file, our checkout partner handles the card and the sales tax. They receive what a merchant needs to complete the sale. We learn that a purchase happened and the email tied to it. We do not see your card number. That partner is Payhip, and its privacy notice covers what it collects.

How long we keep it

We keep form emails for as long as we need them to send the file, reply, or meet a tax or accounting duty on a purchase. You can ask us to delete a form submission by emailing [email protected]. We will delete what we can without breaking a record we are required to keep.

Cookies

This site does not set advertising cookies. The host may keep ordinary server logs, such as an IP address, to run and protect the site. We do not use those logs to build a marketing profile.

Children

The site is for adults handling another adult's affairs. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
